The NADIR project funded by the Europe Commission brings together the major European experimental animal facilities with capacity to undertake research on zoonoses, emerging diseases and other animal infectious diseases requiring bio-containment at level 3 (BSL3). The objective of the project is to realise the potential European leadership in animal disease research.

NADIR brings together 17 partners and 14 L3 animal experiment infrastructures  in order to optimize the use and harmonise the application of the associated investigation, diagnostic and research tools.

Within this framework, NADIR is opening “trans-national access” for research projects that will use the services provided by these facilities.
