Starting 2012, the CPBS plans to host additional investigator research teams working on aspects of infectiology and host-pathogen interactions
CPBS is a multidisciplinary CNRS unit of 10 research teams dedicated to excellence in fundamental research and the study of infectious diseases. All CPBS teams act together to build up a strong task force in the field of host-pathogen interactions and in the development of anti-infectious molecules. Research developed at CPBS includes virology, bacteriology, molecular and cell biology and biophysics (for more information please visit our website http://www.cpbs.cnrs.fr). CPBS provides access to biosafety level-2 and biosafety level-3 (BSL-2 and BSL-3) laboratories as well as numerous high-tech facilities and platforms (flow cytometry, mouse transgenesis, a high-throughput pharmacology platform for the screening of new bioactive molecules and a large imaging platform). A 400 m2, high-capacity BSL-3 platform will be operational in 2013. This platform, unique in France, will also be equipped with fluorescence microscopes for the analysis of live and fixed samples and automated machines for the screening of anti-infectious molecules. Our location within a CNRS campus benefits of an excellent scientific environment that brings together three institutes (CPBS, CRBM and IGMM) with more than 400 scientists conducting fundamental research in molecular cell biology, infectiology, genetics, developmental biology, molecular biophysics and bioinformatics. Innovative and interdisciplinary projects concerning all pathogens are welcome. Projects presenting the possibility of interaction and synergy with existing research programs will be favored. The offer includes substantial laboratory and office space in a brand new building as well as access to onsite facilities and equipment. Application for funding will be encouraged and supported. Informal enquiries can be addressed to: nathalie.pasqualini@cpbs.cnrs.fr Applications should include a CV, a short description of achievements and records of self-financing (when applicable) as well as a proposed research program. Applicants for a Young Group Leader position should also include details of 3 referees. Applications should be sent to: dir-cpbs@cpbs.cnrs.fr Short-listed See alsoFor more information please visit the website : http://www.cpbs.cnrs.fr
